Golden Martha: Golden retriever kennel

Golden retriever kennel “Golden Martha” has been listed into the kennel register of all dog breeds on the 24th of April in 2006 with the register number 112/06.

I am a member of Klub chovatelů loveckých slídičů (KCHLS), Retriever club CZ and Okresní myslivecký spolek Plzeň-jih.
Our pure bred dogs – Dandy and Blue Martha – have been registered in Klub chovatelů loveckých slídičů (KCHLS).
I live in a village in a house with a garden 18 km far from Pilsen. The garden gives our dogs the opportunity to run and play outside. There are forests and the river Úhlava in our close neighborhood so we go for a walk regularly.

DANDY

We brought our first dog Dan home in March 2001 from Mr. Kadlec´s kennel called The Golden Prestige.
I must admit that first we did not intend to take a part in special dog shows with Dan and start up a business. We brought Dan home to have a truthful family friend. And so it was. Since that we have spent a lot of time together walking and playing in the forest and by the river Úhlava during summer.

Today I see that since the beginning was Dan obviously gifted with an excellent hunting ability prove when passing the hunting exams. During 2 months Dan passed these exams: SVP, LZ, BZ and 2x MVP. On the 6th of December in 2005 Dan became a registered dog. Now he is a five year old dog and it is likely that he is not going to be a “super champion” . He has been a champion of my heart for long time.

ANGEL

At Christmas on the 24th of December in 2004 we were gifted with golden girl Andělka (Angel) by the kennel at Ticholovec. Andělka was our love and Danny’s dog friend. We believe in saying two is better than one. Unfortunately she passed away when almost 8 months old. She died because of careless people setting traps in order to catch predatory animals by using poisoned hen eggs in open areas. Andělka swallowed that bit and all of us regretted her death. We will never forget her.

MARTHA

Our second bitch called Martička (Blue Martha) was born on the 18th of June in 2005 in the kennel Santana Golden.
Martička is now 10 months old and all of us, Dan including, had a nice time together and a lot of fun. Martička has presently problems with coxae. But I believe that she will be fine soon and will have puppies that I am already looking forward to. I hope we breed healthy puppies with good character, excellent form and hunting talent.

Our plans…

I will make an effort to improve the dogs´ character so I plan to continue to train dogs, to take performance the exams. Also to take part in shows because there is always something to be improved. Nevertheless the dog’s health is the most important for me and I am pleased that my dogs can enjoy their lives and are happy and satisfied. I believe that all of this results from the beautiful nature surrounding us and an opportunity to be in it.
